Davis Reunion

It was saturday as my family stumbled through the door of
West Otago Town Country Court in Tapinui,
me & my brothers's eyes lit up as we
stared in delight at the fooseball game.
We were looking for the foosball
when a women in her early sixties strutted
in. My brother asked her:
"Do you know where the fooseball is?"
And she replied in a slightly gruff voice,
"Oh, the play-group must have put the ball in
the toy box. Never-the-less I'll get it for you."
& so she did, it took her a minute or two,
but she got it eventuly.
We started a family game Liam and I were in
the blue team me being the strikers and midfielders
while Liam was the goalie and the defenders.
We were  competing against the red team
Tori & Ryan, Ryan was the strikers and midfielders
& Tori was goalie/defenders.
It was quite a good game & averagely close at 10 7
to blue.
"Would you want dad & I to show you a demonstration
of how to play a one on one game of foosball."
   Offered Mum.
"Okay" My siblings & I replied.
Dad was blue & Mum was red. This is going to be
a really good game! I thought to myself.

& it was a very good but brief game at 3 1 to blue
(after all it was only a demonstration).
For the next 10 minutes Ryan & I were playing
one on onenon stop we played 5 games, I won most
of the games but
Ryan did smash me 10 1 in the 5th game!
That's when people started coming, boy of Ryan's
age (who we later find out his name was Carter
came over & asked:
"Can I play? I'm quite good at it."
"Sure!" I replied
"Great!' Carter exclaimed

We'd just finished playing another 5 games (all
of them I won) when a boy of 13 strolled in, he
had jet black hair, a black leather jacket with
a pair black leather pants and dark sun glasses.
I stared in disgust at this wealthy punk, suddenly
Carter exclaimed:
"Yes! Liam's here!"
"Sup li'l bro." 'Liam' said coolly,
"Hay, Liam! Can you help us compete against
Matthew ere?" Asked Carter hurriedly
"Sure!" He replied, as a smile crept across his face
"We'll beat him!"

Actually they only just beat me 10 9 to red. He was very
surprized when I scored the first 5 goals, & even more
surprized to find once he'd scored his first 2 goals
I'd scored 7. That's when he started to sweat &
catch up in scores.
"Okay you four foosballers! Time to come and have
some lunch."  My Mum had exclaimed
"Okay!" I'd answered swiftly.
We all came and had some lunch (which felt like a
dinner) there was ham, chicken drum sticks,
colsaw salads and stews. I only had a little bit of
ham, chicken, colsaw, and salad.

After lunch we all went back to playing foosball.
After a few games Ryan and I got a bit sick of it and
decided to go and have desert.
Having desert there was like having desert at
Buckingham Palace there was three types of pavlova,
three-layer cakes, two huge bowls of fruit-salad, and
foot-high boxes of nearly every type of ice-cream!
I had a small bit of everything, even-then I needed
two bulging bowls!

Once desert was over I had to lie down for ten
minutes. I thought that maybe some foosball
games would help, but once I'd started I couldn't
stop! I played foosball for the rest of our time
there. we played another 12 games I won seven of them
while Ryan and Carter won 5.

At last it was time to go, for 4 hours it had seemed brief.
For the first five minutes of the drive home we hassled
Mum into buying us a foosball game but failed.

THE END!
