Our First Lamb!

"Okay Matthew I need you to catch that
lamb. You see, his Mother has a black
 odour." Explained my Grandad. 'Finaly!'
I exclaimed in my head. I've been waiting
for this for Four days. I jumped off the
bike and cautiously circled towards the
stray lamb. suddenly I pounced! But
frustratingly it leaped away a second
before I landed face down in the wet grass.
I quickly recovered and bolted after the lamb.
'Shoot! that thing can run' I thought to myself.
the lamb darted through the fence which I had
to climb over, it swerved this way and that
throwing me off his tail constantly. Finaly Grandad
sent Norm to help me catch the lamb. (Norm is
Grandad's best dog) Norm tripped the lamb up and
I wasted no time and pounced right onto the lambs
back. I picked the lamb up and strolled back to the
bike where my siblings waited enthuseasticly, with
the lamb in my arms I dumped the lamb in the trailer.
As I walked back to herd the sick ewe into a fence
corner I thought: 'Hhhh we have our first lamb'

Davis Reunion

It was saturday as my family stumbled through the door of
West Otago Town Country Court in Tapinui,
me & my brothers's eyes lit up as we
stared in delight at the fooseball game.
We were looking for the foosball
when a women in her early sixties strutted
in. My brother asked her:
"Do you know where the fooseball is?"
And she replied in a slightly gruff voice,
"Oh, the play-group must have put the ball in
the toy box. Never-the-less I'll get it for you."
& so she did, it took her a minute or two,
but she got it eventuly.
We started a family game Liam and I were in
the blue team me being the strikers and midfielders
while Liam was the goalie and the defenders.
We were  competing against the red team
Tori & Ryan, Ryan was the strikers and midfielders
& Tori was goalie/defenders.
It was quite a good game & averagely close at 10 7
to blue.
"Would you want dad & I to show you a demonstration
of how to play a one on one game of foosball."
   Offered Mum.
"Okay" My siblings & I replied.
Dad was blue & Mum was red. This is going to be
a really good game! I thought to myself.

& it was a very good but brief game at 3 1 to blue
(after all it was only a demonstration).
For the next 10 minutes Ryan & I were playing
one on onenon stop we played 5 games, I won most
of the games but
Ryan did smash me 10 1 in the 5th game!
That's when people started coming, boy of Ryan's
age (who we later find out his name was Carter
came over & asked:
"Can I play? I'm quite good at it."
"Sure!" I replied
"Great!' Carter exclaimed

We'd just finished playing another 5 games (all
of them I won) when a boy of 13 strolled in, he
had jet black hair, a black leather jacket with
a pair black leather pants and dark sun glasses.
I stared in disgust at this wealthy punk, suddenly
Carter exclaimed:
"Yes! Liam's here!"
"Sup li'l bro." 'Liam' said coolly,
"Hay, Liam! Can you help us compete against
Matthew ere?" Asked Carter hurriedly
"Sure!" He replied, as a smile crept across his face
"We'll beat him!"

Actually they only just beat me 10 9 to red. He was very
surprized when I scored the first 5 goals, & even more
surprized to find once he'd scored his first 2 goals
I'd scored 7. That's when he started to sweat &
catch up in scores.
"Okay you four foosballers! Time to come and have
some lunch."  My Mum had exclaimed
"Okay!" I'd answered swiftly.
We all came and had some lunch (which felt like a
dinner) there was ham, chicken drum sticks,
colsaw salads and stews. I only had a little bit of
ham, chicken, colsaw, and salad.

After lunch we all went back to playing foosball.
After a few games Ryan and I got a bit sick of it and
decided to go and have desert.
Having desert there was like having desert at
Buckingham Palace there was three types of pavlova,
three-layer cakes, two huge bowls of fruit-salad, and
foot-high boxes of nearly every type of ice-cream!
I had a small bit of everything, even-then I needed
two bulging bowls!

Once desert was over I had to lie down for ten
minutes. I thought that maybe some foosball
games would help, but once I'd started I couldn't
stop! I played foosball for the rest of our time
there. we played another 12 games I won seven of them
while Ryan and Carter won 5.

At last it was time to go, for 4 hours it had seemed brief.
For the first five minutes of the drive home we hassled
Mum into buying us a foosball game but failed.

THE END!

4 New Piglets!!!

"Mum where's Dad?"
Ryan asked questioningly as we started breakfast.
"There's some pigs in the trap this morning."
Mum replied. ignorantly.
"Ooh really? Are there any piglets? Oh I hope
there are!" Exclaimed Tori enthusiastically
"I don't know." Answered Mum when she her
self had a questioning tone to her voice.
"Oh! This might be him now!" Exclaimed
Mum, jumping up from her chair.
An ATV (All-Terrain-Vehicle) had pulled up
Beside our pig pen. Dad jumped out with
Joseph (our couson in law) carrying a sack
something was squirming inside the sack
"Well, to me it looks like we have some new
Piglets." I announced.

The next day we went out to feed the new piglets.
"There's four new piglets!" Dad announced
enthusiastically as we approached the pen.
"They're quite black by the way. Strange colour
for a wild pi if you ask me." Explained Dad.

Tori and I had to hold the piglets while Mum and
Dad fed them. I was holding the new sow and the
most restless boar, Tori got the other 2 boars and
got spatted with milk. Our other 2 bigger sows just
slept.

After a while Joseph came over and helped us feed
the bigger sows as well as laugh when Dad got pooed
on!

Hoar Frost!

I was eating my breakfast when Dad burst
in from feeding our piglets. It looked as if
he'd had a fight with Jack Frost! He was
covered head to toe with hoar frost!
"What were you doing out there? Having
a fight with Jack Frost!?" I asked with
sarcasm. He walked over to me pulled down
his buff, and said...
"One o' the pigs escaped. Had to chase it, catch it
an' place it back in th' pen" Explained Dad still
puffing with tiredness.
"Fast things they are, when they want to get away."
Puffed Dad.
